Our APC Prawn are low in saturated fat, which is the fat that raises cholesterol levels in the body and is bad for you. Our prawn are great sources of Protein. A 4 oz (115 g) portion of APC Prawn only contains 112 calories and less than 1g of fat! Meat and dairy products are also sources of protein but they tend to be very high in calories and saturated fat unlike Prawn.

Prawns do contain a lot of omega-3 fatty acids, but these fatty acids are good for you and help prevent against heart disease, circulatory diseases and many other types of illnesses. These valuable fats lower triglyceride levels and have many other benefits for heart health.

However, many chefs and retailers have asked us about the calorie content in our succulent APC Prawns. 1 cup of shelled and raw APC frozen prawn has around 168 calories or 4 ounces of cooked prawns consists of approximately 160 calories.

APC Prawns are rich in proteins, various vitamins and minerals. If you look at the Nutrition Facts of about 100 grams of prawn, the fat content is around 1 gram and the protein content is about 25 grams. APC Prawn are one of the most planet friendly proteins available. It is also rich in minerals. Some of the mineral contents present in 100 grams of prawn are listed below.
